Along with a running track and palm-shaded paths, it has a lake full of ducks, fish and terrapins, lots of lawn to sit on, huge playground, picnic benches and a great local cafeteria that does a fantastic lunchime BBQ deal (€5.80 for a plate of meat, salad and chips) at the weekends.

Head to Parque del Sur in the morning and you get it to yourelf apart from the odd jogger. 

If you're looking for a relaxing spot away from the resort crowds, or just fancy some grass instead of sand, this is the place to go in Playa del Inglés and Maspalomas.
