Gran Canaria Flights Cancelled Due To French Air Traffic Controller Strike

It wouldn't be holiday season without a French air traffic controller strike and today's disruption has affected people travelling to Gran Canaria.

Ryanair cancelled the 07.10 FR8132 flight from Stanstead to Gran Canaria this morning and also the return flight: The FR8133 flight leaving Gran Canaria airport at 12.20.

We expect other flights to Gran canaria today to be delayed as airlines reroute planes around French airspace.

Unfortunatley, today's strike isn't a one-off as French air traffic controllers plan further strikes over the next month: A three day strike starting on April 16, and a four day strike starting on April 29.

See this Independent Newspaper FAQ for more info on the strikes.

Aloe Vera: The Gran Canaria Cure For Sunburn

Gran Canaria's sun is African and in the summer it fries pale northern bodies in minutes. If you want a tan, take it easy for the first couple of days until your skin has a chance to adjust.
